We bought a really cool soft cooler that comes with a dolley type thing, for easy carting. So, I'm filling it up, packing it with ice, and carrying it on. Here's what I'm packing:
Unsweetened, Unsulphured Sour Cherries
Unsweetened, Unsulphured Blueberries
Apples
Wild Planet Canned Sockeye Salmon (by far, the best canned salmon I've tried!)
Bar Harbor Canned Wild Kippers (huh?...never had those before, but will report back later)
Canned Sardines (won't be opening any of those on the plane...)
Ground Buffalo (we have a kitchen in our place and BBQs on-site, and you know how I love buffalo)
Sliced Turkey Breast
Johnson & Johnson RED CROSS® All-Purpose First Aid Kit
I think we'll be prepared for just about anything...or, at least we won't go hungry. I usually know, when I'm traveling to big cities, that I will have access to food that suits my dietary needs, but am not sure what will be available to us at this particular location. So, my thought is that it's better to be overprepared, than not prepared at all. Right!?
What do you think? Do you pack like this for travel?
