Paleo Day 5

Breakfast:
2 Hard Boiled Egg Whites
Smoothie w/Water, Spinach, Banana, Peach, Mango, Strawberries, and Blueberries

Lunch:
Sushi at Sake Toro
Salmon, Tuna, and Yellowtail Sashimi

The crew at this particular sushi hot spot was not nearly as accommodating as our new neighborhood favorite, Fin, so we were limited to sashimi. We were all a little bummed as we were looking forward to eating here after hearing the rave reviews. Unfortunately, rather than telling us what they could do, the server and sushi chef told us that they wouldn't be able to make any of our requested rolls without the use of rice...the same rolls that Fin was able to so masterfully create just days before! Hmmm...interesting. And, upon telling the server that we did not eat rice, she responded with, "Why don't you eat rice? You're so skinny! You can eat rice."...because, I guess thin people digest rice better!? And, "What about brown rice?"...nope...or, "What about rice paper?"...I just don't think they were getting it...no rice! Jeesh!

Dinner:
Red Leaf Lettuce Wrapped Salmon, Avocado, and Heirloom Tomatoes w/Olive Oil and Lemon
~and~
Cucumber Wrapped Red Bell Peppers, Carrots, Avocado, Microgreens, Mint and Basil w/Basil-Pistachio Pesto

And, our Friday night took us out to Sambuca where we both indulged in Grey Goose vodka with Grapefruit Juice and Basil...YUM! I'm thinking that the grapefruit was probably not fresh squeezed and the vodka...oh well...

Workout:
Dancing, dancing, dancing for 3.5 hours straight...in shoes that definitely gave the legs an extra workout.
