Weekend Eating

Friday:
Breakfast:
Three Eggs Scrambled w/Avocado (1/2 Large)

Dinner:
Pasta ala Bolognese w/Fresh Pasta

This (Spaghetti Squash w/Bolognese) would've been a more wise choice:

Scott's mom arrived Friday night and since she loves Italian food, I thought this would be the perfect arrival meal. This recipe is an Italian recipe that she and Scott's dad, Larry, discovered on a trip to Italy. The pasta is a Williams-Sonoma recipe...and, is definitely not Paleo.

I enjoyed a really small portion and still felt pretty crappy the rest of the night and into the next day. Totally not worth the indulgence, as I am not the biggest pasta fan. Oh well...we had a great time and Becky loved her meal!

Saturday:
Breakfast:
My stomach still wasn't feeling quite right, so I skipped breakfast this morning.

Lunch:
"Lettuce Wrap Your Burger" w/Egg

Not the greatest photo, but my burger was perfect! Since I splurged on pasta the night before, I thought it best to control my urges to order the "Royal Red Robin Burger"...so, I ordered the lettuce-wrapped, "Lettuce Wrap Your Burger" without the cheese. And, although Red Robin makes some pretty tasty fries, I stuck with the side salad (lettuce, tomatoes, and vinegar) that was served with my burger. I was happy and my stomach thanked me.

I've found that the lettuce-wrapped version of most burgers is a pretty safe bet, when trying to stick to Paleo eating. And, most places will gladly sub out your french fries for a side salad or a side of veggies or fruit.

Sunday:
Breakfast:
Three Eggs Scrambled w/Avocado (1/2 large)

Dinner:
Grass-Fed Filet Mignon w/Grilled Asparagus and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes (just four, so...)
Champagne

I forgot to take a picture...but, you can believe me when I say...it was GOOD!!!
